About the November 17 Concert:
Soprano Irina Mozyleva www.irinamozyleva.com and Mezzo-soprano Audrey Babcock www.audreybabcock.com will join vocal forces in a program of art songs, opera arias and duets celebrating our beloved pets, animals, nature and womanhood. A stunning program that includes the “Flower Duet” from the opera Lakme, and Rossini’s hilarious “Cats” duet, and songs featuring some of the greatest contemporary poets. Also on the program, the music of F. Mendelsohn, F. Poulenc, Kurt Weill and Leonard Bernstein. Ms. Babcock and Ms. Mozyleva will be accompanied by Miriam Charney and Douglas Coates.
The Beacon Dog Park is the beneficiary organization for this concert. The Beacon Dog Park is 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization responsible for building and operating the soon to be completed facility at Memorial Park in Beacon NY. www.beacondogpark.org
This will be Solaris Voices’s third concert-fundraiser this year. Solaris Voices is a group of accomplished Opera and Broadway singers that have come together to share their talents with the community and to shine a light onto not-for-profit organizations in Hudson Valley area. Operating under the umbrella of the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley, Solaris Voices plans a series of concerts that highlight the culture and philanthropy in our own communities. www.solarisvoices.org
All contributions made to Solaris Opera Fund, a component fund at the Community Foundation of Dutchess County, are tax-exempt to the fullest extent of the law.
